Introducing: the "Staying Human" podcast special!
How can we have faith — in each other, and in our common humanity — amid distance, grief, and injustice, during the pandemic?
Dear Subscribers,
I truly hope you are somehow managing to stay human during this period in which it feels like a meteor of stress has crashed into the earth.
Speaking of which: I’m so proud and it is honestly a profound moment for me to finally be able to share “Staying Human.” This new podcast special, which I’ve been working on since Harvard, MIT, and seemingly everything else shut down back in March, is a 58 minute-long piece about faith — in each other, and in our common humanity — amid distance, grief, and injustice, during the pandemic.
Funded by a grant from MIT’s MindHandHeart office, and produced by Jon Benson (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart/Trevor Noah, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart) and Irony Point — (Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine, Inside Amy Schumer), this special is intended to help people manage the stress of this period, especially as we approach the election. I started working on it literally the week of March 10, when Harvard, MIT, and everything else shut down. So much love went into making this, and the biggest thing we want now is just the opportunity for it to hopefully be helpful to people, especially around the election, which has, to put it mildly, not been easy on our emotional or physical well-being.
I’d be honored if you would take the time to listen as soon as you’re able. https://anchor.fm/staying-human-pod. (You can also find us on Spotify and Apple Podcasts/iTunes, coming soon to all the other podcast venues.)
Once you’ve listened, it would mean so much if you could help:
Please post about the special on Twitter, Instagram, or elsewhere!
If you have ideas for how we can share the podcast with a wider audience, suggestions/connections are welcome!
Thanks so much … please stay safe, stay sane, and stay human these next several days.
