My name is Greg, and I’m addicted to tech
Sharing my new Boston Globe Ideas lead story on our relationship with tech in 2021 and beyond
Hi friends of the Staying Human podcast! While we’re in the process of taking some exciting next steps with the show, I’m delighted to share a new piece, in print on Sunday as the centerpiece or lead story of The Boston Globe's "Ideas" section. In part, it’s a review of my experiments with two fascinating new anti-distraction devices, a tablet and a phone you may not have seen or heard of yet. It's also a deeply personal and vulnerable exploration of one of the most painful experiences of my life. Paradoxically, then, it gave me joy to write this essay — to explore, publicly, something that I've avoided fully dealing with, for years. Maybe you’ll relate to the core question: What kind of relationship with tech do we want in 2021 and beyond?
I'd be honored if you'd share the piece, and of course when more podcast episodes come out, subscribers here will be almost literally the first to hear about them!
